Founded in 1992, ATG is now the world’s number one live-theatre company with close to 50 venues in Britain, North America and Germany. With over 11,000 performances a year, recipients of over 70 Tony and Olivier Awards and consistently diverse programming, ATG’s success story continues to grow.


ATG is the leading and most successful live entertainment venue operator, with close to 50 venues, including iconic listed buildings in the West End and Broadway to regional modern multi-purpose event spaces. In 2017, it was chosen as the preferred operator for the brand new Swansea Arena and newly refurbished Globe Theatre in Stockton, alongside a tender to build a new Musical Theatre in Cologne, Germany.

ATG’s portfolio of historic West End theatres includes the Apollo Victoria, Duke of York’s, Fortune, Harold Pinter, Lyceum, Phoenix, Piccadilly, Playhouse, and Savoy, whilst across the UK, ATG has regional theatres in major cities such as Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Sunderland.

On Broadway, ATG operates the newly refurbished Lyric Theatre, home to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Part I & II, and the oldest theatre on Broadway – the recently restored Hudson. ATG also owns and operates the Saenger and Mahalia Jackson theatres in New Orleans, The Majestic and Empire theatres in San Antonio and the magnificent Kings Theatre in Brooklyn. The most recent addition to ATG North America’s portfolio is the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston, reopening in 2018 with the pre-Broadway world premiere of Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

As a prolific international award-winning producer, ATG creates work across the entertainment spectrum. Dynamism, creativity and quality are at the heart of everything the company produces and ATG has worked with some of the brightest lights from film and television in the theatrical world.

Recent ATG productions in the UK include Big Fish starring Kelsey Grammar, Glengarry Glen Ross starring Christian Slater, Oslo, The Spoils starring Jessie Eisenberg, Doctor Faustus starring Kit Harrington, The End and Richard III starring Martin Freeman. ATG has also produced tours including Richard O’Brien’s hugely successful rock n roll musical The Rocky Horror Show Grammy award winner Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5: The Musical and most recently launched multi-Olivier award winning Sunny Afternoon.

Recent ATG productions on Broadway include Sunday in the Park with George starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford at the newly restored Hudson Theatre, the multi-award winning The King and I at the Lincoln Center Theatre, Constellations starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and The Mountaintop starring Samuel L Jackson. ATG’s productions in Australia include Ghost the Musical and West Side Story.

In Europe, ATG owns BB Group – an award-winning leading producer of premium musicals, ballet and live-music. ATG also tours extensively throughout the Asia Pacific region and operates the iconic Theatre Royal, Sydney – with plans to expand further through Australia, China, South Korea and Japan.

Award-winning producer Sonia Friedman OBE is a group partner and Sonia Friedman Productions (SFP) has recently produced the critically-acclaimed Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Other recent productions include The Ferryman, Ink, Nice Fish starring Mark Rylance, Dreamgirls, Book of Mormon, Sunny Afternoon, Funny Girl starring Sheridan Smith, Fairinelli and the King starring Mark Rylance and Hamlet starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
