ATG North America

Currently under the leadership of Stephen Lewin (CEO North America) and Kristin Caskey (EVP, Content & Creative), ATG North America has a portfolio of eight venues and more than 80 full time employees, with a head office in New York City.

Since 2007, ATG has firmly established itself as a leading producer and venue operator in North America. ATG has successfully produced numerous London to Broadway transfers, as well as many home grown Broadway productions. ATG’s most recent Broadway producing credits include Sunday in the Park with George and the Lincoln Center’s The King and I. Other notable productions: The Mountaintop starring Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett, Exit The King starring Geoffrey Rush and Susan Sarandon.

Recent Broadway producing credits from Sonia Friedman Productions’ (SFP) include Farinelli and the King, 1984, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s productions of Twelfth Night and Richard III in repertoire starring Mark Rylance, The River, written by Jez Butterworth and starring Hugh Jackman, and the smash hit The Book of Mormon, which continues to break box office records.

In 2013, ATG acquired its first Broadway venue the Lyric Theatre, which, in 2018, will house the Broadway premiere of Harry Potter and The Cursed Child Parts I & II.
In September 2015, ATG acquired ACE Theatrical Group (ACE), a company which specialised in the operation, design, development and construction of world class, live performance venues throughout North America, including in Brooklyn, New Orleans and San Antonio.

In February 2017, ATG, in partnership with Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc, re-opened the historic Hudson Theatre. This landmark venue, which had not been an operating theatre in over fifty years, was brought back to its former glory by ATG as a jewel-box playhouse in the heart of Broadway. The theatre underwent significant front-of-house improvements as well as numerous backstage and technical upgrades, which has transformed The Hudson into a leading Broadway theatre and destination for producers, directors, actors and creative teams. The venue opened with ATG’s own production of Sunday in the Park with George starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

ATG’s most recent acquisition in North America is the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston. The theatre has long been used to house touring Broadway productions as well as being the venue for a number of pre-Broadway premieres including Oklahoma and The Follies. ATG is in the process of upgrading the Front and Back of House facilities of the theatre before re-opening the venue in 2018 with the pre-Broadway world premiere of Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

ATG continues to be interested in numerous opportunities across North America.
