ATG’s theatres are rooted in the very heart of their local communities and our Creative Learning departments across the UK take a leading role in contributing to the social cohesion of the towns and cities that we serve.

Over the course of a year more than 70,000 people of all ages and abilities participate in our Creative Learning activities. Often inspired by the productions on our stages, these can include workshops with visiting companies, backstage tours and pre-show talks but also Youth Theatres, summer schools and classes for adults. All our Creative Learning work aims to use ATG’s theatres and our considerable in-house expertise to develop theatre audiences for the future by enabling enjoyment and developing appreciation of the performing arts.

We are also committed to encouraging and developing the skills of the next generation of industry talent with work-related learning, industry-wide events and training opportunities in the West End and across our regional venues.

In order to deliver this programme of Creative Learning activity, ATG works in partnership with charities, trusts and organisations nationwide including several local authorities and further education partners.
