History:

  • Originally opened as a super-cinema, the Playhouse is the UK’s largest theatre and is a must-visit location for West End shows.
  • Recent productions include We Will Rock You, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Hairspray. The Lion King opened in October 2013 to a sellout fourteen week run. Other forthcoming attractions include Jersey Boys, Barnum, Wicked and Dirty Dancing.
  • The venue also hosts high-profile comedians and music. Recent highlights include Gary Barlow, Leona Lewis, Little Mix, Alfie Boe and Jimmy Carr.
  •  The venue recently opened an Ambassador Lounge and Cocktail Bar.
