History:

  • Milton Keynes Theatre is a landmark building and one of ATG’s most successful regional venues with a striking contemporary auditorium and state-of-the-art backstage facilities.
  • Its flexible auditorium is suitable for presenting productions ranging from the largest musicals and operas to dance, drama and one night events.
  • Previous productions include Wicked, Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia with annual visits from Glyndebourne Tour, English National Ballet, Welsh National Opera and Northern Ballet. Previous plays include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night–Time, King Lear with Sir Derek Jacobi and Waiting for Godot with Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart.
  • The Ambassador Lounge opened in 2013 and Marlborough Gate Bistro was opened in December 2015.

The superb Ambassador Lounges and the stylish Piano Bar offer a great location for any special occasion or event and can all be hired exclusively to truly enhance any theatre-going experience or to hold business meetings and workshops. The modern auditorium can accommodate large-scale conferences, lectures and award ceremonies for up to 1,400 people.
