History:

  • Richmond Theatre is one of the most beautiful of the Frank Matcham theatres, with a perfect setting on Richmond Green.
  • Refurbished in 1991, it is best known for high quality drama, though it also presents opera, dance, comedy and a much loved pantomime each year.
  • Recent plays which have transferred to the West End include¬†Relatively Speaking with Felicity Kendal, Fences with Lenny Henry, Jeeves and Wooster with Stephen Mangan. Each Christmas it stages a popular, traditional pantomime.
