HISTORY:

The Ambassadors Cinemas is a six screen cinema complex located within the Peacocks Shopping Centre in Woking town centre.  Boasting digital surround sound in all six screens, a wide range of concessions and a comfortable and friendly environment.
An independent cinema, officially opened by film legend John Malkovich in 1992, the development of the three-screen, 1,000 seater cinema complex marked the return of commercial cinema to Woking after a gap of nearly ten years.  The completion in early 1997 of three further screens enabled the centre to offer customers even more choice and a wide range of improved facilities.  Beating all the larger cinema operations, The Ambassadors Cinemas projection team have been accredited as the top department in the country, awarded by the prestigious British Kinematograph, Sound and Television Society (BKSTS), following on from The Ambassadors Cinemas winning the renowned UK Independent Cinema of the Year Award 2009 at the RAAM awards.
